Whenever someone gets a new animal, like a puppy, it can be so exciting that the new owner can forget about how frustrating taking care of a new animal can be.  Not only do you have to feed, train and take your new dog out, you have to take it to the vet and make sure that it is happy and healthy.  You now have a million new responsibilities.

Routine veterinarian trips make it easier on you and are a must for having any new animal.  The vet will make sure that the puppy is receiving all of the shots it needs and prevents any diseases by routine urine and blood tests.  Routine check ups and immunizations are just a couple reasons why it is important to get pet insurance.  Pet insurance will cover all of those things and more for a monthly premium.  You will not have to worry about massive vet bills and will be able to manage your monthly pet insurance cost.

Pet insurance will cover many other things like if you travel and need to board your dog at your vet clinic. Or if you became hospitalized and needed your dog to stay at your vet clinic, it would be covered by your pet insurance.  If you ever lost your dog and offered a reward for it, pet insurance will pay for any costs it takes to find your dog. 

Depending on the type of pet insurance you have, some surgeries and chronic diseases will be covered in your pet policy.  Accident insurance is a great idea for dogs that tend to be aggressive and bite.  Pet insurance would cover the incidence and the liability suit if needed.
